Description: Couples can learn how to respond to abusive situations in light of the Church’s teaching on marriage and how to refer friends who are suffering abuse to find help, hope, and healing. Introducing an educational module to include in marriage preparation where engaged couples to recognize the signs of healthy and abusive relationships and guard their marriage against toxic behaviors that can break down respect and love.

Fr. Dahm utilized this presentation to present to nearly 200 seminarians at Mundelein Seminary in Mundelein, IL in November 2017. The format is being used throughout the Archdiocese of Washington to continue educating priests-to-be and church leaders to better serve families and individuals who experience domestic abuse.
